I love the Sand Storm episode because of its playing with the idea of mirrors, alternate universes, and just balance in general, a concept I'm totally addicted to. Hearing idealist, and obviously capitalist and chauvanistic, garbage from Desert Bluffs made me appreciate the hooded figures, and terror tactics of Mayor Pamela Winchell all the more. Night Vale isn't nearly a paradise, but at least Cecil gives it to you like it is, not like how the government thinks it should be.
Cecil, don't ever leave us without your velvet voice, and sarcastic/curious/truthful commentary. I'd be scared out of my wits if not for you!
I am going to turn that last panel into my desktop wallpaper. Seriously. This is not just hyperbole expressing my love. I am really going to load this image into an editor, extend the background together, and set it as my wallpaper. I love it that much. It expresses my head canon of these two so perfectly. The art is so spot-on. I love it.
